  • Overview

    Forte Group is looking for a DBA with T-SQL knowledge to join a Support Team of DBAthat provides 24/5 support to several critical SharePoint front ends. 

    In this role you will be a valuable member of an international team, you will be collaborating with engineers across the world, located in Minsk and US. 

    In addition to support work, the team will be partnering with the client development team on optimization tasks as well as ongoing planned project work and participate in on-premises MS SQL database migration into Azure Cloud managed SQL. 

    Responsibilities

    • Provide monitoring and on-call support for DB instances on production during scheduled shifts 
    • Provide on-demand support for non-production DB instances 
    • Development of both physical and logical database design in partnership with the development team and configuration of administrative functions 
    • Help the team to develop an SQL Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy and the associated tasks 
    • Maintain continuity between Stage, Production and DR SQL Servers 
    • Monitor system's health and performance using a combination of tools including IderaipMonitor and DataDog 
    • Respond to production incidents registered in ServiceNow according to the agreed SLA 
    • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security of the SQL databases 
    • Analyze, solve, communicate and correct issues in real-time per agreed SLA 
    • Perform scheduled maintenance and support deployment activities 

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of administering Microsoft SQL Server databases 
    • Work experience as a MS SQL Server DBA 
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and provisioning of SQL Server Databases 
    • Experience with SQL programming and DB configuration 
    • Understanding of database lifecycles - builds, patching, backups, recoveries, tuning 
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities 
    • Experience with DB performance monitoring tools would be a plus 
    • Experience working with ticketing systems, like ServiceNow or similar 
    • Experience with task management toollike Azure DevOps or Jira 
    • Readiness to work with minimal direction and supervision 
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) 
    • Intermediate+ English level or higher 
    • Readiness to work in periodic shifts (scheduled well in advance, 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm)
